im not sure how prince could go from not even casting a vote in the presidential election, saying i got no dog in that race, to wanting to work for president obama months later, but if the white houses special advisor for green jobs, van jones, is to be believed, thats exactly what happened.

Moving Day...not for me exactly :)

this is not a serious thread, a tirade thread, a troll thread...its just ....a commentary on real life thread... i like having a real life.. having lived alone in this house for the last 12 years, i have managed to not accumulate a lot of crap.
i have a rule: 1 thing in, 2 things out...keeps clutter to a minimum.

JW hijacked sisters my wedding
by artemis.design injust a few months ago my little jw sister got married at 19. i remember how excited she was when she started planning the wedding.
both she and her partner made it clear that there were lots of none jw's present (myself included) so it was not to be a "theocratic" event.
none of those stupid plays or performances.

Recent jw weddings I have been to have had a list of invited persons and if you were not on the list, you were not allowed in. No exceptions.
There was a director that who doubled as a bouncer.

Huge development concerning Watchtower.org and "apostate" comments.
by DT inwouldn't you love to comment on the watchtower.org site so that other visitors can see what you think about their doctrinal flip flops, false prophecies and dangerous medical practices?.
it's no surprise that watchtower.org doesn't allow comments.
they know that "apostates" would point out the embarrassing details about their religion and history.

Serious Question - Does anybody know anything about the disease MS?
by JWoods ini just got a call from an old girlfriend who thinks she has been diagnosed with this.

To be diagnosed with MS can literally take months to years. There has to be two distinct attacks (similar to what your friend describes) and multiple lesions, along with neuro exams that show deficits.
Some doctors still do a lumbar puncture also.
If you look under the Multiple Sclerosis Society on the web, you can find a lot of useful info. There is a section there called Limboland for people who have symptoms but are not diagnosed yet.
One lesion can easily be caused by other things, so hopefully your friend will get better news.

by oompa inso we are watchin new christine and there are several child birth scenes of agony......and i tell my wife to be glad she never had to go through that.....she agrees............and i say..."why the hey did god have to make that so awfully painful?".............
she says "he did not".......i. i say "oh ya he did.".....
she says "not originally"...... i say "and then he did!".........

Sorry to hear about the abuse of your daughter. Did you have the right to go to the police?
I understand how accusing a person can ruin their reputation. That is why I think it is so important for the parents to be free to speak with nurses, doctors, psychologists and even law enforcement if the feel their child has been harmed. These professionals can help to sort it all out.
Most young children don't make up abuse stories, but adults have been known to put a child up to doing so. I d not think that jws are any more prone to child molestation than any other religious group.
It is just the unfortunate way they have dealt with it, in many cases, that ha caused so much pain.

All accusers should be free to report the charge of sexual abuse to the authorities. It is a crime and needs to be investigated. The courts are not perfect, but they are the best judicial system we have.
The witnesses try to circumvent the police and the court system, thereby protecting the molesters.
Do you really support this?

I appreciated it greatly and I am happy he is free from it all now. Me too.
